Letter of invitation
Upon request, the Secretariat of the 85th EAS Congress 2017 will send a personal invitation letter to participants. This invitation is meant to help visitors to raise travel funds or to obtain a visa, and is not a commitment on the part of the organisers to provide any financial support. Please contact us and email your request with full name, postal address and passport number to email@example.com .
We are unable to send invitation letters directly to consulates. Invitation letters are prepared solely for individuals and are mailed directly to them.
Kindly note that, due to a high volume of requests, it may take up to 10 working days for the letter to be ready. Please take this into consideration when applying for a visa and ask for the letter in advance.
All non-Czech nationals entering the Czech Republic must provide valid travel documentation.
Delegates who hold neither an EU passport nor a Schengen visa should check AS SOON AS POSSIBLE the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ website to see if they require a visa to enter the Czech Republic. The Chapter Entry & Residence offers all information about visa and residence policy and procedures. The particular sections and articles according to the subject will provide delegates not only with details of whether a visa is necessary but also which documents need to be provided and what is the price of the visa. It should be noted that the process for obtaining a visa can, in some cases, take several months.
If a visa is required, delegates should apply to the Czech Diplomatic and Consular Representations in their country of residence with the documents outlined on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ website.
As is normally the case, the EAS will gladly provide an invitation to any delegates who require it (see Invitation letter above). However, delegates requiring a guarantee letter must contact AIM Group as the local organiser of the conference. AIM Group can issue a guarantee letter only to delegates, who booked and paid their accommodation through the official reservation web pages.
All questions regarding visas should be addressed to AIM Group using the following email address: firstname.lastname@example.org
- Visa applications may take several months. Please check this NOW.
- Visa application fees range from 35 to 630 euros per person. This should be paid on application, to either the Consulate or Embassy directly.
- Presentation of the requested documentation does not guarantee that the visa will be issued.
